In 2016, after our first performance, we partnered with Eden Gardens, a home for people living with dementia.  We wanted to put the funds we raised to good use, so (after learning about the power of music and memory from watching a  documentary “Alive Inside” ) we bought  I-pods and headphones for the residents. Our relationship with Eden Gardens grew into not only support with money earned from performances, but also with volunteers from our choir going weekly to sit with the residents and use the I-pods to bring them back to memories of earlier years.  It has been documented that listening to music that is memorable from a persons younger years, can trigger clear and distinct memories that previously were lost. The responses of the residents to the music varies,  but all responses are absolutely heart warming and powerful to witness.
